In consideration of the strategic development needs of the Global Oasis Climate Fund (GOCF) in the mainland China region, and to further strengthen the organization's management and external cooperation in this area,
the GOCF Council has thoroughly deliberated and voted to appoint Mr. Qiu Hengzhi as the Chairman of GOCF China. He will be fully responsible for the fund's operations and external relations in mainland China.
This appointment has undergone rigorous review by the Council, and Mr. Qiu Hengzhi has gained the majority recognition of the Council due to his extensive experience and outstanding leadership capabilities in environmental protection,
sustainable development, and international cooperation. As the Chairman of GOCF China, Mr. Qiu Hengzhi will shoulder the important responsibilities of advancing GOCF's strategic implementation, resource integration, and influence expansion in China,
ensuring the organization's sustainable development in the region and promoting the achievement of global environmental goals.
The appointment was formally voted and approved by the GOCF Council on January 18, 2025, and has been signed into effect by the Chairman and the Secretary-General. From this day forward,
Mr. Qiu Hengzhi will officially assume his duties and lead the GOCF China team to contribute to the advancement of green and sustainable development.
